Most Kahrs engineered floors can be installed as floating with the use of exceptional click fitting system called Woodloc. As a matter of fact, Kahrs was the first floor manufacturer to introduce a floating, or glue less installation system back in 1999 – the innovative Woodloc. Today, there are several variations of this Woodloc system, such as Woodloc® 5S, Woodloc® and Woodloc® 5G specifically tailored to various Kahrs products. The subfloor preparation stage is essential part of any fitting job as unless it is properly done it can significantly affect any flooring product, regardless of its high quality by allowing moisture or by creating bumps and unevenness at a later stage. This often includes the installation of particular underlays to ensure that the wooden floors are well protected. Can LVT be used with underfloor heating?

Will the restoration process affect my skirting boards or walls?

The floor restoration works go up to the very edge of your wooden floors with high-speed rotary power tools to achieve uniform finish throughout. Touch ups or even repainting may be required after the floor works to skirting boards or beading. This may as well become necessary after removal of the masking tape, which we use to protect your skirting boards. Although we use low-tack masking tape, sometimes the paint below may be too fragile or recently applied and can chip off during the removal.

We often make specific arrangements to ensure that from the very beginning of our projects there is clarity regarding who will be inspecting the floors once they have been sanded and sealed.
